What all vehicles can I use to share rides using RideAlly?
RideAlly provides options to share rides using Bike, Car, Cab, SUV, Auto and Tempo. We believe that even a biker (two-wheelers like, Scooter, Activa, Moped, Motor-cycle etc.) can take someone with him/her rather going alone.
We wish to enable all kinds of vehicles so that none of us needs to travel alone.
Q 2:
I need RideAlly. How can I join it?
There are many ways to join RideAlly:
1. You can download RideAlly Android app from Google Play Store, install it and sign up by clicking ‘Sign up’ button
2. You can access URL, http://rideally.com, from any device and sign up by clicking ‘Sign up’ button
3. You can also access RideAlly using your Facebook login details from either of above options.

Why RideAlly?
Sorry, you can not cancel your profile however, you can unjoin yourself from the particular ride.

What is RideAlly?
Once you book a taxi following things will happen :
1. As you will book a taxi, you will get a sms and email with your Booking Id number and details of the taxi ride.
2. You will get a confirmation mail from the RideAlly team.
3. Before two hours of start time you will get a mail with driver and vehicle details.

Q 1:
What if the taxi is late or does not show up or has a breakdown?
We have strict mechanisms and quality checks to prevent this. In case it happens, please report to us and we shall make an alternate cab arrangement for you on a best effort basis.
Q 2:
How will I pay for a ride?
Payment will be made in cash, we suggest you, to keep the exact cash, as it will avoid to find change if driver does not have any.

Whom do I call in case of a query or a problem?

Q 4:
I want to cancel my booked taxi.
You can cancel your booking anytime. For cancellation Go to My Rides->cab Bookings
Q 5:
Are there any charges for cancellation?
There are no cancellation charges.
Q 6:
I am travelling in night, Is there any night charges ?
Yes, toll charge and night charge is included. Night charges will be applied from 10 pm to 6 am.
Q 7:
I booked a taxi for airport, I want to update it.
You can not update the ride once it is booked. However, you can cancel the ride and book a new taxi as per your wish.

Which are the locations of operation at the moment?
At the moment you can use it in Bangalore.
Q 9:
What is the lead time I need to provide to get an assured taxi?
Any online booking would require you to make the booking at least 2 hours prior to pick up time. The actual confirmation is given based on the availability of the taxi .
Q 10:
How much in advance can I book a taxi?
We understand that some of our consumers would like to book a taxi well in advance. We currently have a limit on how much in advance you can actually book the taxi. It is 90 calendar days. Please do enquire with us through our helpline, in case you have any other specific requirements and we will definitely try our best to fit in your request.

What are the benefits of joining shared taxi.
You will get upto 60 % of heavy discount on joining shared taxi.
Q 12:
I am travelling with my family and want to book a taxi.
You can book by selecting a Cab under personal column from price chart. Travelling in personal taxi will not hinder your personal space.
Q 13:
How will I know that the Taxi is booked ?
Once you book a taxi following things will happen :
1. As you will book a taxi , you will get a sms and email with your Booking Id number and details of the taxi ride.
2. You will get a confirmation mail from the Rideally team.
3. Before two hours of start time you will get a mail with driver details.

When is the driver and taxi detail provided ?
The driver and taxi detail is provided at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup, through email and SMS.

I want to share taxi.
You are at the right place, Rideally is for “Share Taxi, Share Ride”
1. Please book a taxi by selecting radio buttons under shared column from price chart. Users who like to travel in shared taxi may join you.
2. You may also invite your friends by providing their email id or Phone number.
Q 16:
What are the benefits of booking shared taxi.
Sharing is always beneficial, Some of the benefits are as follows :
1. At first instance only you will get 5 % discount on actual cost.
2. Secondly when any user joins your taxi ride then again you will get 35% discount on actual cost.
3. If further one more user joins your taxi ride you will be getting 60% discount on actual price.

I want to Book A Taxi, How can RideAlly help me?
We are always here to help and you can Book a Taxi by following ways :
1. You can book a taxi by providing location and selecting your desired taxi from the price chart.
2. Currently there are 3 taxis available ie, Mini a/c , Mini non a/c and Sedan.
3. You can join any existing taxi ride as per your preferred location.
Workplace
Q 1:
I'm a female and I do understand that it is safe to travel with male colleagues however I still feel more comfortable with fellow female colleagues.
We understand your predicament hence we built a feature in year 2014 itself, using which females can travel only with females. This feature is only visible to females. We would ensure with company management that no male enters as female in our system within your company workspace. We do multi-â€ÂÂlevel verification of all of our users to ensure that they do not fake their gender.
Go to 'Workplace' tab and Enter <Your Company Name> in 'Workplace Name' field and Enter your location
You would get your company location in search results (if not, we can add that)
Click on 'Join Workplace' and provide your company email-id in the pop-up
You will receive an email at your company email inbox (do check spam or junk folder as well).
Verify your company email-id and you are ready to carpool or bikepool
Q 3:
My time to travel is different than others. I do like to share travel with others but its just that I would not be able to change my timings.
That’s totally fine. This is the reason we usually go with Corporates, which have 500+ people at single location. We believe that your timing may match with someone. All, we request is that you be open to share and explore and hopefully, you would get someone exactly at your time.
Q 4:
I do not wish to share my car/bike with certain colleagues due to their attitude, behaviour, cleanliness etc.
Our research shows that people do travel with more than 80% colleagues however there are specific cases when someone may not like to share personal space. RideAlly has built a workflow where someone needs to accept/reject the request from fellow colleagues and one need NOT to accept requests from such colleagues. If you do not accept requests than they would get the message over time.
Q 5:
I wish to travel with only like minded people who share similar interests; views and make my travel more fun and useful.
That’s perfect! We wish to provide you exactly that kind of experience. You can very well do so but how do you know who are like-â€ÂÂminded unless you explore to travel with your colleagues atleast once. We suggest that you do share your car/bike at least once and explore. It would be fun to learn from your colleagues and there is high likelihood that you may build long-â€ÂÂlasting relationships with some of them.
Q 6:
While sharing ride, if we have an accident, does it have insurance cover?
Insurance companies usually do not have specific clauses on carpool. During our research, we have found that if personal car/bike is shared without the intention of earning profit than insurance companies cannot pose any issue. Also, one should not share car/bike with strangers but one can share it with colleagues. RideAlly is providing exactly that kind of service.
Q 7:
I already do carpool or bikepool hence what do I get with RideAlly?
We thank you if you do so always. At times, carpool/bikepool partner goes on leave or work from home or have early morning or late evening meetings and you need to travel alone. If you share travel time in the app than chances are high that you get someone always. Also, you get notifications when someone joins.
Q 8:
I travel in company provided transport and its working for me.
You and company pay good amount to get these services at your door-step. You can travel at 0 to 4 Rs per Km with your colleagues rather paying hefty price or being victim of surge pricing. Also, there is high likelihood that you get someone going from your apartment itself to your Tech Park or Company.
With Company transport, you need to travel at stipulated time only however with your friends, you both or 3 of you can define your own timings.

Can I share my cost of travel?
Yes, you can do that. RideAlly provides such options where you can share cost.
Q 10:
I come in my own Car/SUV/Bike and my timing do not match with anyone else.
We are totally with you and understand/appreciate personal preferences. We humbly request that you may just share your time to travel 10 minutes before start. Chances are that you may get someone on your route and commuting at same time. This small gesture of sharing would go long way. Even if we get 2 cars or bikes lesser on road that is good contribution to society.
Q 11:
Is it legal to earn from personal cars or bikes?
It is not legal to make profit from personal cars however one can save the cost of fuel. Profit is different from saving the cost. We anyway share our travel with colleagues, friends, relatives etc all the time and RideAlly is just a software/solution to enable that.
We have customized our solution for Workplaces (or Corporates) to ensure that people do not make profit however they can earn points (or save cost) which would be lesser than cost of travel. E.g. if cost of travel in Car is 7 or 8 Rs/Km (primarily fuel cost, maintenance etc) than they would not be able to earn/save more than that. Similarly, it is for Bike. You can share/get rides for free as well.

We are always here to help you. You can earn by, saving a ride by adding your vehicle. Please be careful while providing cost as there are many ways to provide cost, either you can provide cost according to /Km or /Ride or /Person or /Mile. As soon as you save your request, it will start reflecting whenever someone searches for the similar ride.

Is there any cost involved? Do I need to pay to RideAlly?
Not yet however in future, if you are able to save travel cost than we may charge 5-â€ÂÂ10% of saved amount to sustain our effort.

What if I had an unpleasant scenario with my colleague, How can RideAlly help?
Please do report to our 24/7 customer care 080 4600 4600 and we would play a bridge to bring it to your management attention. We can ban people depending on recommendations from company management. We strongly recommend you to not to travel with strangers and verify details of co-â€ÂÂpassengers on the app before entering into the car.

Is there code of conduct for drivers or car owners or passengers?
Yes, we do have it and even take it seriously. These guidelines provide a good list of certain behaviour expected from car-â€ÂÂowners, drivers and passengers. Q 1:
I can travel with strangers, how can I feel safe?
Before traveling with a stranger please keep check on these basic safety rules :
1. Please read our guidelines before going for a ride.
2. Check if the person’s Mobile and Email is verified.
3. Check the profile picture, and his face book profile (if it is there).
4. Before boarding in vehicle, check the condition of driver , e.g. he/she is not drunk etc.
5. Follow your intuition.
Q 2:
I wish to travel only with my friends, relatives and known persons.
We respect your preference. Our advice is that you should :
1. Accept requests only from the known person.
2. Send join requests only to your known person.
3. Invite the persons whom you know.
Q 3:
I am a girl and wish to travel only with other girls.
We understand your concerns and risks and we have an advanced feature, by this you have the rights to save ‘Only Female’ rides and can join ‘Only Female’ rides. Your published ride can only be seen by other registered female users.
We can help you in feeling secure, before hiring or boarding any vehicle such as local autos, tempo, cab, bus or bike, please check the vehicle registration number and save a ride with that vehicle information from your particular source and destination. Don’t worry whether someone else joins that ride or not but if any misfortune happens, this will help you or police in finding the culprit at least.
